Ender's Game Review
MOVIE REVIEW
ENDER'S GAME
Ender’s Game,’ With Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield
Imagine a world where children are recruited to train in space and float in zero gravity to fight insect like aliens. If you were thinking: “Starhip Troopers,“ you would be half right. “Ender's Game” was written by Orson Scott Card in 1985.
Although inspired by space opera of the 1960's and 1970's, Ender's Game is more of a young adults entry into the genre. The movie isn't just action though, it asks enough tough ethical questions like: is it okay to draft young children into the military and send them into outer space, to make it stimulating enough for the more mature science fiction fan. Well maybe not. My little boy loved the action and said the way Ender controlled the ships and space battles was like a Nintendo Wii game. He also asked why Han Solo was there and why he looked so old.
The novel was much better than the movie, but what novel isn't.
I guess the movie has to be judged on it's own merits apart from the original book my Orson Scott Card, which is a science fiction master piece and classic. I'm just glad I had something so entertaining and
visually appealing as this film to take my son to.
If you value the original book I recommend that you see this film because it still reflect the original values and spirit of the book. If you have never read the book or could care less about reading I also recommend you go to see it because it is very entertaining and well produced.

Review of: Sony Walkman NWZE345BLK 16 GB Video MP3 Player
Sony Walkman NWZE345BLK 16 GB Video MP3 Player
Have you been searching for a mobile player with better sound quality? So have I. I have found it. The Sony Walkman NWZ-E345BLK. I have listened to quit a few mobile player from i-pod to Sansa. I was curious to find out if there was a player with audio enhancement like SRS Labs sound enhancement technologies built in. I was pleased to find out that Sony had its own enhancement: DSEE DIGITAL SOUND ENHANCEMENT ENGINE, Sony Clear Stereo and Sony Clear Bass. I was also pleased to learn that the walkman also supports: MP3,WMA,AAC AND LPCM.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link In my opinion the ear buds that come with any player aren't worth the packaging that they come in. I actually recommend spending a little more than the Walkman on a set of high end ear buds. I personally like the -Sure SE 210 Sound Isolating Ear Buds- Retail $179.99. Although the SE 115 are also good- Retailing at $119.99. If you like Bose their ear buds will work fine too.
Another very important consideration is the quality of the Sound file you load into your player. I always rip and sync at the highest bit and sample rate. It will use up much more memory in the player, but it is worth it. I would rather run out of room and switch out songs to load new songs than listen to inferior quality tracks. After all the artists intended for you to listen to your music with the best quality sound.
LISTENING:
An important thing that I must mention is, to get the best sound from your Walkman; the Clear Stereo must be turned on in the sound menu, and the Clear base must be turned up in the equalizer custom control. This means you will need to adjust your own setting if you don't like the flat preset. Don't worry you will figure it out when you get into the settings.
My impression of the Walkman sound is that is richer, warmer and has more clarity and depth than any other player I have listened to. Another nice Bonus is that this player will drive a full size pair of headphones! I'm not saying it will drive them to earsplitting levels, but the base will be there and it will be fairly loud. My Sure SRH 440 and my SenheiserHD380 PRO, Both Moderately expensive over the ear headphones sounded great through the Walkman.
For about $99.00 on Amazon this is a good deal.
